It's been a while since my last posting... I was never good at keeping a diary. I was plugging along all winter, though. I experimented new glaze and shapes, practice, practice and practice on the wheel. These are some of my new stuff. The first two pics shows Mr. Munakata's glaze. I fired them at cone 7, higher than my usual. I liked how the color turned out :-) During the winter, I was able to spend quality studio time with Renee, one of my teachers, and she showed me more techniques and tips. I enjoyed seeing her work, as well as all the chat we had. I also joined Oregon Potters Association. OPA has informative meetings, news letters and video library for members, and their biggest event, Ceramic Showcase, is coming up soon. It will be held at Oregon Convention Center on April 24, 25, 26. There will be over 200 Oregon potters showing and selling their work, demonstrations from different artist, kids/adult clay play area, and more! It will be fun. Can't wait.前回の書き込みから随分たちました、、、 昔から日記をつけるのが苦手でした。 わはは。 書き込みは無かったものの、この冬も陶芸三昧していました。 新しい釉や形を試したり、ろくろの練習をしていました。 最初の２枚の写真は宗像先生の釉を使ったものです。 普段のCone 6よりも少し熱い温度で焼きました。 綺麗な色が出たので嬉しいです。 冬の間、私の師匠の一人であるルネーとスタジオでいろいろ教えていただくことができて、また少しコツがつかめてきた気がします。 ルネーの紹介でオレゴン陶芸協会（OPA)にも入りました。 OPAではメンバーのために役に立つミーティング、ニュースレター、ビデオライブラリーがあり、４月２４～２５日にはOPAの一番大きなイベントであるセラミック・ショーケースがあります。 ２００以上ものオレゴンの陶芸家が作品を展示・販売します。 アーティストのデモや、大人と子供が粘土で遊べるエリアなど盛りだくさんで楽しくなりそうです。 入場は無料です。 詳しくは www.caramicshowcase.com をご覧ください。 今年も去年と同じサンデーマーケットに申し込みました。 ６月から９月まで出店する予定です。 楽しみだな～♪
