Today is the "Children's Day" for boys in Japan. People decorate their house ｓwith traditional boyish stuff, like armor and big koi fish shaped kites, and eat traditional sweets. Girl's day is March 3rd. I always thought boys got the better deal because this boy's day is in the middle of the Golden Week ( a long holiday). It's kind of sad that I tend to forget these Japanese holidays. Too many years away from Japan... Anyways, I will be starting the Sunday Market soon, and I am gearing up. I've been making more sushi plates, since they sold well last year. I also made a few lidded jars (second pic). They are small, about 4 inches tall, and have beads on the top. Lids are still very challenging to me... Round shaped mugs, like the last pic, are my new favorite. They are cute and hold a lot of java :-)今日は日本では子供の日でした。 日本では男の子のために鎧兜やこいのぼりを飾って柏餅を食べたりするんですよね。 ちなみに女の子の日は３月３日。 子供の日はゴールデンウィークの真ん中だから私はいつも男の子の方が得だな～、と思ってました。 こういう日本の祭日のことをすっかり忘れてしまうようになったのはちょっと悲しいです。 日本から離れてから長くなってしまったからかな、、、 ところで、もうすぐサンデーマーケットが始まるので準備中です。 去年よく売れた寿司皿セットをもっと作りました。 そして蓋付き容器（２枚目の写真）にも挑戦しています。 高さ１０ｃｍくらいの小さいもので、蓋の上にビーズが付いています。 蓋は難しいので要練習です。 ３枚目の写真のようなまるっこちいマグが最近気に入っています。 かわいいし、いっぱいコーヒーが入るのよ。
